國家工藝品牌 Yii 之作品意象研究

Abstract
臺灣政府於2002年訂定新政策,開始推動「新世紀國家建設計畫」,在此計畫的基礎上延伸出「挑戰2008:國家發展計畫」著重在十大項目上進行投資,從人才培育、文化產業發展、產業規劃到實現臺灣數位化皆是提升臺灣品質的重要核心。在文化產業發展項目計畫推行中出現重大的突破,便是藉由國家政府力量建立一個國家工藝品牌,政府透過國立臺灣工藝研究發展中心與臺灣創意設計中心(今臺灣設計研究院)合力推行「工藝時尚」專案計畫並於2008年產出「Yii」品牌,從草創期到成熟期間,在計畫期間「Yii」產出許多優質的工藝作品。
本研究透過文獻蒐集發現以往在針對國家類型的工藝品牌相關研究較少,然而國家工藝品牌可為工藝產業帶來引導性與啟發性的效果,本研究認為深入探究有其必要性,因而選擇以「國家創建」的Yii品牌作為研究樣本。此外,文獻中學者們提出關於造形、色彩、材質為探討設計策略的三大元素,透過產出的作品外觀傳達出其物理機能、內在涵義以及心理感受,因此本研究選擇聚焦形色質的設計策略上。國家創建的工藝品牌「Yii」在2007-2012年計畫期間已創作出120件的作品,其中精選的78件作品,更是被選為優秀作品;本文獻將探討從2007-2012年間精選的78件作品做為研究樣本,探討被摘選出的作品中具有甚麼設計策略,本研究從中深入探討Yii國家工藝品牌作品意象與形色質的關聯性,以專家訪談方式進行探討對於Yii品牌未來的相關建議;結合內容分析法中的編碼表針對78件作品進行分析。最終推論作品意象較受到其材質與造形外觀所影響,而未來若當再次啟動Yii品牌等相關國家品牌建立時,需得仰賴政府的補助和計畫,以及長期的經營與培養,並打破舊有觀念與時俱進,利用新世代元素為品牌創造出更新穎的作品且同時還能展現出工藝精神,期許能在此研究結論基礎上給予有效建議。

The onset of the "Millennial" generation has found that countries around the world are moving toward a "New Generation," with further in-depth development in technology, lifestyle, aesthetics, and awareness of environmental protection in nature. In order to keep up with this generational trend, the Taiwan government formulated a new policy in 2002, and began to promote the "New Century Nation Building Program," which was extended to include the "“The Planning and Implementation of the Challenge 2008 National Development Plan—Cultural," which emphasizes investment in ten major projects. The National Development Plan focuses on investing in ten major projects, ranging from talent cultivation, cultural industry development, industry planning, and the realization of Taiwan's digitization, all of which are important core elements for upgrading the quality of Taiwan. A major breakthrough in the implementation of the cultural industry development project was the establishment of a national craft brand through the power of the national government. The government implemented the "Craft Fashion" project through the National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Center (NTRDC) and the Taiwan Center for Creative Design (today's Taiwan Design Research Institute, TDRI) and produced the "Yii" brand in 2008, which has taken 15 years from its inception to maturity to produce many quality craft works. During the period of the program, "Yii" produced many high-quality craft works.
Through literature collection, this study found that there are relatively few studies on national craft brands. However, as national craft brands can bring guiding and inspiring effects to the craft industry, this study believes that in-depth investigation is necessary, and therefore, we chose to use the Yii brand, which is a "national brand", as the sample for the study. In addition, scholars in the literature have suggested that shape, color, and material are the three major elements in exploring design strategies and that the physical functions, internal meanings, and psychological feelings of works are conveyed through the appearance of the works produced, so this study chooses to focus on the design strategies of shape and color. The national craft brand "Yii" has created 120 pieces of artwork during the program period of 2007-2012, among which 78 selected artworks have been chosen as outstanding works. This paper will examine the 78 selected artworks during the period of 2007-2012 as a research sample to explore the design strategies of the selected artworks, and this study will explore the imagery and color quality of the artworks of the national craft brand "Yii" in depth. This study explores the correlation between the imagery of Yii's national craft brand works and the shape and color of the works, explores the suggestions for the future of Yii's brand using interviews with experts; and analyzes the 78 works by combining the coding table in the content analysis method. The conclusion is that the imagery of the works is more influenced by the material and the appearance of the shape and that if the establishment of national brands such as the Yii brand is to be re-launched in the future, it is necessary to rely on the government's subsidies and programs, as well as long-term management and cultivation, and to break the old concepts and keep up with the times by utilizing the elements of the new generation to create new works for the brand that can still demonstrate the spirit of craftsmanship, which will give us effective recommendations based on the findings of this study. We hope that we can make effective suggestions based on the findings of this study.
